How to Use My Boost Mobile Motorola Phone As a Modem?

Connect your Boost Mobile Motorola phone to your computer to use the phone as a modem. The process, known as tethering, allows your computer to access the Internet through the phone's cellular data connection. Your computer will be able to access the Internet as long as the phone is within Boost Mobile's data network. Tethering will not work if the phone is roaming.

Click “Start” on your computer, then select “Control Panel.” Click “Network and Internet,” then select “View Network Sharing and Tasks.” The computer will display all network connections.

Click “Set Up a New Connection or Network,” then click “Set Up a Dial-up Connection.” Click “Next.” Wait for Windows to search for a dial-up modem. Select “Set Up a Connection Anyway” when prompted, then click “Next.”

Enter “S=2#777” into the “Dial-up Number” field. Enter a name for the Boost Mobile Internet connection in the “Connections” field. Click “Create.”

Download and install the USB drivers for your Motorola phone onto the computer. The drivers are available to download from the Motorola website. You will be guided through the process by an installation wizard.
