How to Customize Your EVO's Display

 There are a number of ways to personalize your HTC EVO display. If you don't like an aspect of your HTC EVO smart phone's display, you can probably change it. The phone lets you customize the wallpaper, adjust the display brightness and more. The device's display settings can be changed through the phone's Settings menu. If you don't like any of the changes you apply, you can always change the setting back to what it previously was or try something else.

Press "Home," "Menu" and then "Settings."
2 Press "Sound & Display" and then "Screen Timeout."
3 Select one of the listed times. You can choose 10 seconds, or 5, 10, 15 or 30 minute intervals before the display enter Sleep mode.
1 Press "Home," "Menu" and then "Wallpaper."
2 Tap either "HTC Wallpapers," "Live Wallpapers" or "Gallery." HTC wallpapers are stock wallpapers that come with the phone and "Live Wallpapers" are animated wallpapers. "Gallery" are photos stored on your phone that can be used as wallpaper.
3 Tap a wallpaper and then tap "Save."
1 Adjust the display brightness by tapping "Home," "Menu," "Settings" and then "Sound & Display."
2 Tap "Brightness" and tap to uncheck the "Automatic Brightness" box.
3 Drag the slider to increase or decrease the display brightness. Tap "OK" to save the setting.
1 Click "Home," "Menu," "Settings" and then "Sound & Display."
2 Tap to uncheck the "Orientation" box.
3 Click the "Back" button to save the setting.
