The Samsung Omnia smartphone runs on a version of Microsoft's Windows Mobile operating system and, as such, it allows you to multitask by running multiple programs at the same time. The device has limited memory, however, so it will automatically shut down programs not being used when its memory runs out. Since this automatic shutdown is performed automatically, there is nothing extra you need to do in order to clear memory when using programs.

Tap the "Start" icon or press the "Menu" button to open the Start Menu.

Tap the program icon that represents the program you want to open.

Repeat steps 1 and 2 to open any other applications you want to use. As soon as you open an application that requires more memory than is currently available, the Samsung Omnia will automatically shut down the least recently used program.
